We stopped for gas on our trip and asked the attendant if there was anywhere good to eat…she directed us to exit 57 in Walterboro SC to Olde House Cafe. If you want an amazing homemade buffet that’s fresh, hot and true southern cooking!! Do yourself a favor and stop at this gem!! Great service, amazing chicken…..they also have items you can order that is not a buffet.

This place is amazing! The lunch buffet was absolutely delicious: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sausage in gravy, biscuits, sweet potatoes, green beans, Mac and cheese, etc. The fried chicken was so fresh and yummy. There is also a salad bar with regular salad fixings, fruit, desserts, etc. The staff were all professional and courteous. We would come here every time we are in the area! Highly recommend!!!

Buffet has fried chicken, pulled pork BBQ, green beans in smoked bacon pot liquor, mashed potatoes, good gravy, sweet potatoes, mac'n cheese, biscuits, salad bar, cool whip pistachio ambrosia (no sour cream, nuts, oranges, or cherries :-) 'nana puddin, the different kinds of cake, strong sweet tea oughta come with an insulin shot. Food so good it'll have you loosening up ur belt. It is a county kitchen cafe so didn't walk in lookin for ambiance and decor. There's a hand written sign in the ladies room and the floor is sticky. Go anyway, get you some rib stuckin' coma inducin' real and heavy comfort food. We're absolutely going back!

We enjoyed the breakfast old style food. Ypu can ask them to cook it to your desired taste. Loved the home made fried potato's. Buffet looked great, we wished we had more time to taste the home made buffet.

This is a cute “hole in the wall” place! We stopped and got breakfast. My hubby had the “hungry man” plate and I had the chicken omelette. They were delicious! You won’t come here for fancy dining, but the food is amazing!

I have been coming to the South for 40 years, and have never found a place that makes great southern comfort food until now., I had the buffet, fried chicken cooked to perfection, collard greens were delicious, sweet potatoes were out of this world and I don't like pecans, but wow! Wow! Wow! By far the best I've ever had!

I was on a trip to Florida on I-95 and found this little gem on a quick Google search and wanted something better than fast food so I gave it a try. I had the BLT sandwich with home fries and it was superb. The tomatoes on the BLT were some of the best I’ve had in a while. The wait for the food wasn’t very long and I ordered a coffee to go for the road and it was also very good and quite large in size. They also had a buffet and the fried chicken they were bringing out for the special that day looked great but I didn’t get to try it. All the girls working there were super sweet too. It’s not far off the highway if you’re just passing through.
